Purpose
This guide will help you navigate the skill Woodcutting.
This guide walks you through leveling Woodcutting from 1 to 100 on a fresh character.

Along the way, you will naturally gain levels in Brewing, Farming, combat and Health. You may also gain optional levels in Crafting and Firemaking.

The focus of this guide is efficient XP progression and smart use of Woodcutting potions.

Getting Started
You begin the game with a Bronze axe, so start by chopping trees.

Begin by cutting Normal Trees. You will be chopping many of these early on.

While chopping, you can also train Crafting if you wish. Make sure to save some logs for trading later.

Once you have collected around 100 Normal Logs, you should reach level 10 Woodcutting. At this point, upgrade your axe.

The purpose of this guide is to get to 100 Woodcutting with a fresh new character. Along the way, you will get quite a few levels in Brewing, Farming and combat. Also optionally Crafting/Firemake.
Use /yell in-game to trade your logs for an Iron axe, which will increase your chopping speed.
Start
You find yourself starting the game with a Bronze axe, so lets cut some trees!

I hope you are ready to cut a lot of these!

Once you have around 100 Normal Logs you should have hit level 10 wc (Woodcutting) and be ready for your first axe upgrade. If you /yell to people in game, you should be able to trade your 100 Normal Logs for an Iron axe. this will make your chopping a litte faster.

Farmer Slaughter
Farmer Slaughter
The next axe is level 20 wc, so lets go for some of our side quest that we will be doing a LOT in this guide. Head to some Farmers and kill them for their seeds. What we really want here but cannot use yet is Green leaf seeds (a 1/40 drop). They are a key ingredient in wc potions, which we will be making a ton of!
Your next axe upgrade unlocks at level 20 Woodcutting, but first you will begin an important side grind.

Head to the Farmers and start killing them for seeds.

What you are mainly looking for are Green leaf seeds, which have a 1/40 drop rate. These are required for Woodcutting potions later in the guide.

You will die often to Farmers early on. This is expected. You respawn nearby with full Health and will slowly increase your max hitpoints as you level it.

While killing Farmers:
- Bury all bones to train Worship
- Worship increases run duration and unlocks teleports
- Completing the Sewer doll quest rewards 10 Large bones

You will die to Farmers fairly quickly but will re spawn at full Health nearby and be slowly increasing your max hit points as you level up Health. Also bury all the bones you get by clicking on them, this will help you get more Worship levels, allowing you to run more frequently and eventually get the teleport abilities. You can get a boost by completing the Sewer doll quest which will reward you with 10 Large bones.

Farming
---
For now though, most drops are great, Immediately plant some mushroom seeds. At level 5 you can start planting Dotted leaf seeds and level 10 for Green leaf seeds. There is a second farm in the jungle past the maze puzzle and a third farm which may be worth unlocking later in Mystic Vale but it will require grinding 500 Sand and 50 Iron Bar, also level 20 in Farming.

Farming Setup
Most Farmer drops are useful, so begin planting crops immediately.

- Plant mushroom seeds as soon as possible
- At level 5 Farming, plant Dotted leaf seeds
- At level 10 Farming, plant Green leaf seeds

There is a second farm in the jungle past the maze puzzle. A third farm exists in Mystic Vale and may be worth unlocking later. It requires 500 Sand, 50 Iron Bar, and level 20 Farming.

Once your farms are running, return to chopping trees.

At level 10 Woodcutting, you can chop ak trees for improved logs and XP.

Continue rotating between chopping trees, killing Farmers, and checking your farms.

---

Axe Upgrade: Silver
At level 20 Woodcutting, upgrade to the Silver axe.

You should easily be able to trade logs for one.

You can now chop Willow Trees, which will be your primary XP source for a long time.

---

Once you have some crops going, go back to cutting trees. At level 10 you can cut some ak for better logs and more xp. keep planting and killing farmers for seeds when you can.
Sand, Glass, and Vials
By now, you should have a steady supply of mushrooms and leaves.

Upgrading Axes
Buy a Shovel from Sad Jack in the fishing shop, then head to the beach to dig Sand.
At level 20 you will need a new axe, the Silver one. you should have enough logs by now to easily Trade for one with someone. You can also now chop Willow Trees, which will be the best xp for a while now.

Sand and Vials
By now you should have a good quantity of mushrooms/leaves so you should sell some logs to buy a Shovel from Sad Jack in the fishing shop, then go to the beach and dig up some Sand, then go to the Forge to smelt it into Glass, and craft the glass into Vials

With the vials you can start making combat Potions to level up your Brewing. You will need to get to level 12 Brewing to get to what we really want; Woodcutting potions!
Smelt the sand into Glass, then craft the glass into Vials.
Potions
Woodcutting potions will give you double logs and double xp for the duration. They are essential for leveling up Woodcutting since they cut leveling time in half.

The main problem with making a lot of wc pots is the Green leaf as they are a fairly rare drop, especially the seeds. They are a big bottle neck for Brewing so many players will not be inclined to sell them. So that will mean killing loads more Farmers!
These allow you to start making combat Potions and training Brewing.

Keep brewing [Woodcutting potion|wc pots]] and also combat pots just to keep leveling Brewing. When you use a potion it lasts 5 minutes + 1 for every 2 brewing levels you have, so it is advisable to not use the Potions until around level 15-20 so that you at least get 12.5 minutes for each potion.
Your goal is level 12 Brewing, which unlocks Woodcutting potions.
Cheese-Gold Axe
Now you should be at level 30 Woodcutting and looking for the Gold axe, this should be easy to trade for again for a few hundred logs. Also, you can cut the Maple tree now! It is not worth it for xp but maybe for better logs to trade with.  You will also need 100 Maple boards later if you want to access the Mangrove trees.
Willow, chop, Farm, Repeat!
So, still chopping Willow trees, occasionally switching to killing Farmers and checking on your farms now and again to make more Potions. You should have a Brewing level of 15+ by now and running wc potions whenever you can while chopping trees.

---

This will become a careful balance of dividing your time between chopping trees and grinding for Green leaf seeds. It may become too much to always have potions running but try to have them going as much as you can.
Brewing Progression
At level 10 Brewing, you can plant barley and brew beer.

The nests you will be slowly collecting can be used overnight to plant trees and level your Farming for more mushrooms/leafs per harvest.
Barley seeds are available at the Tavern. Make sure to buy or collect beer mugs whenever you visit.
40 LEVEL!
When you hit level 40 you can chop bamboo, but ignore it. Bamboo is terrible xp compared to other trees and the 'logs' have no function. Go chop 1 if you want for the achievement.

Keep chopping willow....
Crafting Premium Beer using 5 beer mugs rewards 1,000 Brewing XP, making it an efficient early training method.
50 LEVEL!
Once you hit level 50 you will be ready for the Promethium axe! By now you should have several thousand wood chips. A promethium axe costs 1,250 Woodchips along with the ore.  It should be a fair trade to offer someone 2,500 chips to make the axe for you.

You can now chop mangrove. You will need 100 Maple planks and 500 Nails to repair the bridge to get to them.  They will be more valuable to trade with but willow is still far better for xp. So keep hitting that willow tree and level up some more!
---

Keep demolishing those Willow trees!
Woodcutting Potions
Level 65!
Woodcutting potions provide double logs and double XP, significantly reducing Woodcutting training time.
Now you should be at level 65. Time for another axe upgrade. You can probably once again trade double chips for it which you should easily have. The Titanium axe uses 2,500 chips. For a better chance at a deal, get some coin and take your chips to the kiln and turn them into 50 Charcoal which you can offer to trade for the axe. This will cost you 60k coin, so you may want to try trading some of your logs/nests/chips with other players for coin.

The main bottleneck is Green leaf:
- Seeds are rare
- Many players do not sell them

This means continued Farmer grinding is required.

You now have the ability to chop Haunted trees. Same as the mangrove, they are not good for xp, but the logs are valuable, good for Crafting and Firemaking.
You should have enough Rotten Logs to grow Moldshrooms. If needed, kill beetles in the jungle for more mushrooms.
75...
Keep cutting the Willow for xp until around level 75, this is where the Maple actually becomes better for xp from now on. Switch to the Maple Tree for the last 25 levels and keep those Potions running!

Just keep chopping that Maple for another 25 levels...
Potions last 5 minutes plus 1 additional minute for every 2 Brewing levels. It is best to save Woodcutting potions until around level 15–20 Brewing for better efficiency.

LEVEL 100!
---

Level 30: Gold Axe
At level 30 Woodcutting, upgrade to the Gold axe.

This can usually be traded for a few hundred logs.

WOODCUTTING – GUIDE

Note: You may see the term “wc”, which is a common abbreviation for Woodcutting.

Purpose

This guide walks you through leveling Woodcutting from 1 to 100 on a fresh character.

Along the way, you will naturally gain levels in Brewing, Farming, combat and Health. You may also gain optional levels in Crafting and Firemaking.

The focus of this guide is efficient XP progression and smart use of Woodcutting potions.

---

Getting Started

You begin the game with a Bronze axe, so start by chopping trees.

Chopping your first Normal Tree

Begin by cutting Normal Trees. You will be chopping many of these early on.

While chopping, you can also train Crafting if you wish. Make sure to save some logs for trading later.

Once you have collected around 100 Normal Logs, you should reach level 10 Woodcutting. At this point, upgrade your axe.

Use /yell in-game to trade your logs for an Iron axe, which will increase your chopping speed.

---

Farmer Slaughter

Your next axe upgrade unlocks at level 20 Woodcutting, but first you will begin an important side grind.

Head to the Farmers and start killing them for seeds.

What you are mainly looking for are Green leaf seeds, which have a 1/40 drop rate. These are required for Woodcutting potions later in the guide.

You will die often to Farmers early on. This is expected. You respawn nearby with full Health and will slowly increase your max hitpoints as you level it.

While killing Farmers: - Bury all bones to train Worship - Worship increases run duration and unlocks teleports - Completing the Sewer doll quest rewards 10 Large bones

The endless Farmer grind

---

Farming Setup

Most Farmer drops are useful, so begin planting crops immediately.

- Plant mushroom seeds as soon as possible - At level 5 Farming, plant Dotted leaf seeds - At level 10 Farming, plant Green leaf seeds

There is a second farm in the jungle past the maze puzzle. A third farm exists in Mystic Vale and may be worth unlocking later. It requires 500 Sand, 50 Iron Bar, and level 20 Farming.

Barley seeds are available at the Tavern. Make sure to buy or collect beer mugs whenever you visit.

Crafting Premium Beer using 5 beer mugs rewards 1,000 Brewing XP, making it an efficient early training method.

---

Woodcutting Potions

Woodcutting potions provide double logs and double XP, significantly reducing Woodcutting training time.

The main bottleneck is Green leaf: - Seeds are rare - Many players do not sell them

This means continued Farmer grinding is required.

You should have enough Rotten Logs to grow Moldshrooms. If needed, kill beetles in the jungle for more mushrooms.

Potions last 5 minutes plus 1 additional minute for every 2 Brewing levels. It is best to save Woodcutting potions until around level 15–20 Brewing for better efficiency.

Level 30: Gold Axe

At level 30 Woodcutting, upgrade to the Gold axe.

This can usually be traded for a few hundred logs.

You can now chop Maple Trees. These are not good XP yet, but the logs are useful for trading.

You will later need 100 Maple planks to access Mangrove Trees.

---

Willow Grind

Continue chopping Willow Trees while farming Green leaf seeds and maintaining potion supplies.

Chopping Willow Trees

Use Birdnests overnight to plant trees and train Farming for increased harvest yields.

---

Level 40

Return to chopping Willow trees afterward.

---

Level 50: Promethium Axe

At level 50 Woodcutting, upgrade to the Promethium axe.

It requires 1,250 Woodchips and Promethium Ore. A common trade is offering around 2,500 Woodchips for someone to make the axe.

Mangrove logs are valuable for trading, but Willow trees still provide better XP.

Mangrove Island

---

Level 65: Titanium Axe

At level 65 Woodcutting, upgrade to the Titanium axe.

It requires 2,500 Woodchips.

To improve trade value, you can convert Woodchips into 50 Charcoal at the kiln, which costs approximately 60,000 Coins.

The Omboko Axe is not recommended, as it provides little benefit over Titanium for the effort required.

Chopping a Haunted Tree

You can now chop Haunted Trees. These are not good XP, but the logs are valuable for Crafting and Firemaking.

---

Level 75+

Continue chopping Willow Trees until around level 75.

From this point onward, Maple Trees provide better XP. Switch to Maple trees and continue using Woodcutting potions when available.

---

Level 100

Congratulations. You have reached level 100 in Woodcutting.

Your collected logs can now be used to train Crafting or Firemaking, or sold through Trading for coins.
