Community Events

Community Events are things that the whole of the FlatMMO community can work together in.

Bondfire

The Bondfire is a Community-type project focusing on keeping this Giant fire Lit.

To keep this fire lit, you need to bring logs, loads and loads of logs. Each log that gets put into the fire will add towards the fires timer.

You require level 30 Firemaking to start adding toward the Bondfire.

You will slowly accumulate Firebond Points while you are adding logs to the Bondfire, if it stays lit you will earn them slightly faster. After earning some Firebond Points they can be redeemed at the Fire Spirit for rewards.

Evil Tree

The Evil Tree is a Community-Type Event Focusing on chopping this Evil Tree.

The Evil Tree has a very rare chance of spawning after chopping down any Tree, and lasts for 1 hour.

If you chop an Evil tree using the Leafy Gloves, you will obtain 2x Points and 2x XP.

You will gain Evil Tree Points overtime randomly while chopping the Evil Tree, which you can redeem at the Forest Spirit for rewards.

Lochness Minigame

The Lochness Minigame is a community event found East of Dockhaven, where players work together to hunt and kill the Lochness Monster (known as Nessie). Upon successfully defeating Nessie, you'll be awarded Lochness Points, which you can redeem at the Water Spirit for rewards.

You need at least level 10 Fishing to join — otherwise you won't be able to catch any fish!

Meteor

The Meteor is a mineable rock that drops random Ores based on your Mining level. It has a Level 1 Mining requirement. It is one of the only sources of getting Ancient Ore, along with the one ancient ore node. It spawns once an HOUR in a random location. When it's one hour timer has expired it will either move to a new location, or stay where it is. When this happens an Alien can break free rewarding you for freeing them.

There is also a Rare chance a Gem Meteor falls from the Sky, giving you a chance to Mine Gems from the Meteor.

Alien

The Alien is a rare creature that can break free from the Meteor as it tries to switch locations (even if it stays in the same place). It is the only way of getting the Meteor Pickaxe. You only need to have mined the Meteor once per game session to collect the rewards. You can even mine the new Meteor and run back if you're quick enough as the Alien stays for 5 minutes. If you haven't mined the Meteor since you logged in, the Alien will refuse to give you anything.

Fun Player Gatherings

Players often find creative ways to enjoy the game beyond its core mechanics, using in-game content in unexpected and entertaining ways.

Omboko Well Cult

The Omboko Well Cult is a player-organized gathering where participants form an orderly line inside the Omboko Well’s Stealing Stall Room. Members typically do not wear masks, (exept from leader) do not have pets active and face newcomers.

The event is held when ever sushilord says it either in discord or in chat so make sure to be on when you can. "(Normally happens when stalls reset)"

3 lucky players will be hired to be sushilords guards, and if you refuse then you will have to go to one the 4 corners. "(guards must be holding an axe)"

The guards will either be: below, behind or in front of sushilord to protect him at all costs

The founder and leader of this sacred (and slightly absurd) cult is the player Sushilord!

There are many rules to this cult, and if you break them then you will go to one of the 4 corners, depending on how serious it is.

these rules are:

No fires are to be lit except the torch without the leader's permission	This is so the Screen doesn't overload with fires and lag other participants game
No pets are allowed to be equipped	No Pet belongs inside the cult since its NOT a player
No masks are allowed to be on unless you are the leader or have permission from the leader	This is to maintain a reputation of Good-looking players
The cult will end when the leader says so	Without the Leader, there is no cult meeting

Dounbots Valentines Day Competition 2026

Prize

Prize: 9m (Thank you Liam for being amazing hosting this event and dounating 4m coins into the Prize pool).

General Info

This was a Team-Based event. You needed to join one of the Dounbot teams with the !team Command and have your profile's API set to Public.

The 4 Teams competing were: Voltor, Nix, Balance and Zane.

There were 9 competitions being hosted by Dounbot(A Bot made by Liam) on FlatMMO Stats Site:

Woodcutting, Bondfire, Firemaking, Stealing, Evil Tree Points, Lochness Points, Silkfang kills, Giant Flufflare kills, and Noctyrix Starfruit drops.

Each competition gave points based on standings for each team, Liam used the sum of the points of each player to rank their teams.

Ranking

In first place was team Voltor with 330 points. Second went to team Zane with 245 points. Third was secured by team Nix with 125 points. The team that came in last place was Balance with 65 points.
