The Meteor Pickaxe is a special pickaxe obtained as a rare reward from the Alien that can appear after a Meteor despawns. It requires level 50 Mining to use. It mines ores every 5 ticks, matching the Titanium Pickaxe in speed (60% buff), but has a faster tick rate when mining Meteors specifically, making it the best pickaxe for Meteor mining.
To encounter the Alien, a player must be actively mining a Meteor when it despawns. There is then a chance for the Alien to appear, and speaking to her rewards the player with items including the Meteor Pickaxe.
